Monster's New Words

Now that Monster has had her tubes put in she has started talking again and she has learned so many new words. It seems like she learns a new word every day. She can say: Momma, Dadda, Bubba, Baby, Mine, Daisy, No-no-no, Yeah, Do, Hi and Bye. It seems like she knows a lot more but I can't remember them right now (I hate it when that happens!!)She is constantly talking or yelling, it's so funny. She has also started copying us. Last week I showed her daddy's tummy and then I asked her where daddy's tummy was and she walked over, lifted up his shirt and poked daddy in the tummy! It was so funny! She is getting so smart!
I thought of another one this morning, well actually she said it and then it hit me that I forgot it. She says Uh-oh! She will throw or drop something (or if you're not watching feed the dogs) and say uh-oh!

Breakfast Club

Last Saturday we had a meeting of the breakfast club. While we were eating Monster decided she wanted the whole pancake, so we let her have it. As she was shoving it in her mouth she bit down and bit her own finger. She pulled her hand out and started crying and looking around like why did you hurt me? She didn't understand that she bit herself and that she was the one who hurt her. It was so funny!! Then she proceeded to play with the pancake, putting it on her head, holding it up, smushing it all over. Monster loves being a part of the breakfast club!

Helping Mommy

Tonight while I was folding laundry Monster decided she would help. She was unfolding clothes faster than I could fold, and when she emptied the basket she got in!

Surgery

Today Monster had tubes put in her ears, and while she was under she also had her left tear duct opened, and cleaned out. It was a very stressful time for mommy & daddy but Monster did great! The anesthesiologist took her away at about 7:25 and we had her back by 7:50. They had us put her in a little yellow hospital gown with yellow hospital socks (that were a little to big, ok a LOT to big but they worked) she looked like a little monk. I just happened to have my camera in my purse so I had to take a picture because she was so cute. This was taken before her surgery, and she was getting hungry and tired so she doesn't look very happy.

Monster was tired and wanted to be cuddled this morning, but after her nap she was doing much better! She has started talking again (pretty much non-stop) and is so much happier! We are putting five drops in each ear two times daily and 1 drop in her eye 5 times daily. After her ear drops she is tippy on her feet but it doesn't last to long. She is a totally different baby than she was 24 hours ago! We are so grateful to have our happy, healthy baby back!!

Germ Pit

I always said I would never let my kid play in the germ pits at the malls, well I caved.

We took Monster to the germ pit last weekend to try to get her mind off of her ear infections, she had a blast! In the picture above she was trying to climb up the slide.
In this picture she was peaking around the corner, about to go down the slide but was a little scared to actually go down, so I gave her a little push! She loved it and turned around to try to climb right back up to do it again.
I need to vent for just a minute about the pits. When your children are 4 feet tall and 85lbs, they're to big to be playing in the mall pits, take them out before they run over the little people!

The Look

This is Monster's new look. She scrunches her eyebrows together and pouts her lower lip, it makes her look like she's mad but she does it even when she's happy. We have been trying to get her to do it on command but as her pediatrician said "she has a strong personality" and we can't make her do anything! She's so stubborn!
